Kids Muay Thai

Muay Thai for Kids Benefits

Muay Thai is a combat sport that originated from the Muay Martial Arts of Thailand. It uses stand-up striking, along with other types of clinching techniques, including grappling, and is known for its physical and mental discipline. Muay Thai is referred to as “the art of eight limbs” because a person must use their fists, elbows, knees, shins, and feet while fighting.

Like all other types of martial arts, including Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai heavily focuses on body conditioning:

  • Physical fitness of a person greatly improves
  • Burns the fat quickly making a person lean and thin which is a great
    achievement in itself
  •  Glowing complexion as it releases all the toxins and waste from the body
  • Teaches you methods of self defense, toughens you from the inside
  • Helps in boosting the immune system of the body, providing strength and endurance to muscles
  • Mental psyche of a person as he gains self confidence, and learns how to be disciplined
  • Spiritual level, it surprisingly provides mental peace and relief from stress
  • Makes a person more self assured and self aware

It is a good martial art technique that induces fear in the minds of others which is why scores of children and women are learning this invaluable Thai combat sport. Proponents say that they have greatly benefited from Muay Thai as it has taught them virtues such as compassion, patience, endurance, gratitude and honesty.
