What is it?
Striking, also known as cardio kickboxing or cardio boxing, is a high-energy and intense workout that combines cardiovascular exercises with various striking techniques borrowed from martial arts, such as boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai, and karate. It is a popular form of group fitness class offered by many gyms and fitness studios.
Focus
The primary focus of striking is to provide a dynamic and fun cardiovascular workout while incorporating elements of self-defense and martial arts movements. The class is usually led by an instructor who guides participants through a series of choreographed sequences involving punches, kicks, knee strikes, and other striking movements.
