Glenn “Coach G” Kornegay is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Brown Belt, active competitor, and multiple-time gold medalist representing Renzo Gracie MMA Academy in Middletown, New York.

**Coach G leads by example.** Having competed and earned gold medals in organizations including the IBJJF, JJWL, NAGA, and Grappling Industries, he brings firsthand competitive experience directly into the classroom.

Originally from Brooklyn, New York, Coach G combines his competitive mindset with a passion for teaching and student development. His continued involvement in competition allows him to bring practical insights, proven techniques, and lessons learned firsthand into every class.

His teaching approach focuses on breaking down complex techniques into simple, practical steps, emphasizing technical precision, safety, timing, and adaptability. He encourages students to understand not just how a technique works, but why it works, when to apply it, and how to adjust when faced with resistance or counters.

Whether coaching beginners, kids, or experienced practitioners, Coach G creates an engaging, technically challenging environment that emphasizes individual development, confidence, and accountability.
